Hip-hop seems to be one of the semi-mainstream things I actually keep up with. Danny Brown is a name that pops up almost every time I have a conversation about new rappers. His high velocity delivery mixed with eccentric personality is normally found atop dark, minimal loops, but on his new track Grown Up he changes up and allows a soothing West-Coastesque beat float beneath him whilst he muses on childhood and the changes adulthood and maturity brings.
