Hype. Hype on hype. Who is that hype?

Emerging artists keeping their identity under wraps: shy and cautious, clever and calculated? Or are we as fans making a big deal out of the whole thing just because these bands don’t want 30 seconds prior to “Hi, I’m Jonathan from Spotify” and aren’t signed to a really fucking cool independent label with an even fucking cooler triangle shaped logo?

Ok anyway. Here I give you three artists who make both fantastic analog and digital music, and have by some means, kept some form of anonymity. Which to be honest, I kinda respect. Regardless of whether they are trying to be cool or just actually are quite modest.

(and none of it sounds like Burial)

This is quite a good read on the subject of the mysteriousness (and it’s an interview with WU LYF which is also good). I like this subject. Lots of angry people.
